Player and Parent Code of Conduct
By registering, participating, and attending any of our training/games, you agree to adhere to the Player and Parent Code of Conduct.
PLAYERS
- Be on time for all training and games. It is recommended to be at the venue 10 minutes your scheduled training/games unless you are given a call time.
- Respect your coach and officials and follow instructions given at all times.
- Respect your fellow team members, opposition teams and supporters.
- Respect referees and other officials and DO NOT argue with them.
- Be positive and supportive of your team members.
- Players are NOT TO intimidate opposition players either verbally or physically.
- Players to shake hands with opponents, coaches and officials at conclusion of every game.
PARENTS
- Parents must not coach from the sidelines during training/games.
- Parents should not criticise their child on any part of their game. Leave this to the coaches to avoid confusion and significantly impacting the player's confidence.
- Be your child's best fan and supporter. Love them unconditionally whether they perform to the best of their abilities or not.
- On transporting your child home, please be supporting and always focus on the positive aspects of his game. Be honest but gentle with your feedback on your child's performance.
- Develop a responsibility in your child to pack his own gear, and bring along his water bottle and ball.
- Respect the facilities and any staff member.
- Do not criticise your child’s coach to your child or other parents. If you are not happy with the coach, you should raise the issue with the coach directly.
- Help your players to focus on the performance and not the result. Winning is not as important as the performance.
- Support all the players training and playing during games. Do not criticise any player.
- Do not criticise the opponents, their parents, coaches or the referee.
Please Note: Any breach of the above code of conduct by players, parents, and officials will be dealt with. Maharlika Sports reserves the right to refuse any player, parent, or officials from joining/participatng/attending any of the training/games if any of the code of conduct is breached.
Zero Tolerance Policy
Our teams competing at the Hills Basketball Association competitions should adhere to the Zero Tolerance Policy the association is implementing.

Any breach of this policy will not be tolerated by Maharlika Sports and will result in removal from the team without refunds.
Policies & Procedures
As we have teams in various competitions. Please ensure that you are familiar with the competition by-laws for the respective competitions you are playing into.
No Pay, No Play Policy
Purpose:
To ensure that all players and families understand the importance of timely payment for participation in our programs (competitions and training). This policy aims to maintain the financial health of the club and ensure equitable access to resources for all players.
Policy Statement:
All players must have their competition and training fees and any outstanding balances paid in full before participating in practices and games. This includes but is not limited to:
- Competition fees (including team entry fees, court hire, game fees, coaching fees, and admin fees)
- Training fees (including court hire, insurance fees, coaching fees, and admin fees)
- Uniform fees
- Player registration fees
Procedure:
- Payment Deadline: All fees must be paid by the specified deadline outlined during the registration process. Families will receive reminders as the deadline approaches.
- Account Status: Players with unpaid balances will be placed on a “not eligible” list until the account is settled. Parents or guardians will be notified of any outstanding payments via email, text message or phone.
- Participation Restrictions: Players on the “not eligible” list will not be allowed to participate in:
- Practices
- Games
- Tournaments
- Other club activities
- Resolution of Balances: If a family is experiencing financial difficulties, we encourage open communication with the club administration. We may offer payment plans on a case-by-case basis.
- Reinstatement: Once all payments are received, the player will be reinstated to the team and will be eligible to participate in all club activities.
